If you are looking to spruce up your roof without having to completely replace the tiles, there are a few steps you can take. One possibility is painting.

Roof Painting Prep

Before beginning, carefully evaluate the condition of the tiles . You want to be sure restoring them is worth your while and that the roof is not in need of replacement. A professional roofing contractor will be a better judge of this, and you can learn from their experience when receiving free estimates.

If the tiles are in good condition, begin by thoroughly cleaning the tiles with a pressure washer. A pressure washer can remove mold and mildew and can make the tiles look clean and fresh for up to eight months.  After the tiles are completely dry, look for any cracked or broken ones that should be replaced.  If the tiles are concrete, a sturdy concrete stain is sufficient.
